MINISTRY OF INDIA




India is a democracy and therefore, the ministry in India is an elected representative of the people of India. Elections are held every 5 years to decide the future of ministry in India in a transparent and democratic way. Though there are a large number of departments, still some departments are of utmost importance in the upper echelons of the ministry in India. Mainly:

The defense ministry – It is responsible for all the defense related decisions in the country and is charged with managing and keeping a check on the requirements of the armed forces in the country. They are also responsible for receiving reports from the armed forces and forwarding it to the Prime minister and the President for further review.

Home Ministry- Like the defense ministry, the home ministry is responsible for the internal security of the country and is responsible for handling the police and other Para-military forces of India. They are responsible of ensuring the safety and security of every Indian citizen and is the often the first department to release a statement in case of any mishap in the country.

The ministry of external affairs- The ministry of external affairs is the base of communications for India with the rest of the world. Whenever the government of India feels the need to communicate any important news or opinion to the rest of the world, the ministry of external affairs is tasked with the job. They are responsible for the proper administration and smooth running of the Indian embassies in different parts of the world and are accountable for the safety of Indian nationals travelling to foreign countries.


The finance ministry- The finance ministry is responsible for the finances and is responsible for all the financial decisions of the country. The department is also responsible for coming up with a yearly budget for India and decides when to increase or decrease taxes in the country.
