India, officially called the Republic of India, is the country that
occupies most of the Indian subcontinent in southern Asia. In terms of its
population, India is one of the most populous nations in the world and falls a
little behind China. India has an extensive history and is measured the world's
largest democracy and one of the most flourishing in Asia. It is a developing
nation and has only recently opened its economy to outside trade and
influences. As such, its economy is currently growing and when combined with
its population growth, India is one of the world's most significant countries.
The geography of India is diverse and can be divided into
three main regions. The first is the rocky, hilly Himalayan region in the
northern part of the country, while the second is called the Indo-Genetic
Plain. Kanchenjunga is the highest mountain peak
in India .It is in this region that most of India's large-scale
agriculture takes place. The third geographic region in India is the flat
terrain region in the southern and central portions of the country. India also
has three major river systems which have large deltas that take over a large
portion of the land. These are the Indus, Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers. Ganges is
the longest river of India. India's climate is also diverse but is humid in the
south and mainly moderate in the north. The country also has a prominent
monsoon season from June to September in it southern region.

Literacy Rate plays an important
role in defining the development in a society; Literacy is also an appropriate
pointer of economic development of a country. In India as per census, a person
in age limit of seven and above, who can both write and read with understanding
in any of the language is considered as a literate in India. As per Population
Census of India 2011, the Literacy rate of India has shown as
improvement of nearly 9 percent. It has gone up to 74.04% in 2011 from 65.38%
in 2001, consequently screening an increase of 9 percent in the last 10 years.
It consists of male literacy rate 82.14% and female literacy rate is
65.46%. Kerala with 93.9% literacy rate is the pinnacle state in India in terms of literacy rate.
Lakshadweep and Mizoram are at second and third position with 92.3% and 91.06%
literacy rate correspondingly. Bihar with 63.08% literacy rate is the last in terms of literacy rate in India.

India is a democracy and therefore, the ministry in India is an elected

The defense ministry – It is responsible for all the defense related

minister and the President for further review.
Home Ministry- Like the defense ministry, the home ministry is
responsible for the internal security of the country and is responsible for
handling the police and other Para-military forces of India. They are
responsible of ensuring the safety and security of every Indian citizen and is
the often the first department to release a statement in case of any mishap in
the country.
The ministry of external affairs- The ministry of external affairs is
the base of communications for India with the rest of the world. Whenever the
government of India feels the need to communicate any important news or opinion
to the rest of the world, the ministry of external affairs is tasked with the
job. They are responsible for the proper administration and smooth running of
the Indian embassies in different parts of the world and are accountable for
the safety of Indian nationals travelling to foreign countries.
The finance ministry- The finance ministry is responsible for the
finances and is responsible for all the financial decisions of the country. The
department is also responsible for coming up with a yearly budget for India and
decides when to increase or decrease taxes in the country.
